Whether you will visit the towns after the Lights have been switched on or thinking about going along to the switch on yourself. We’ve broken down the list of market towns that are having an event to flip the switch on their Christmas celebrations.

22nd November (19:30 – 22:30)

The Uk’s No1 tribute to stereophonics head back to Wrexham for the Christmas lights switch on, to perform a mind blowing set of all the classics that you will know and love, which will include Have a nice day, bartender & the thief, Dakota, Maybe tomorrow, handbags & glad rags plus the latest singles All in one night & Caught by the wind to name but a few.

Denbigh Christmas Light Switch

30th November (10:00 – 20:00) 

Denbigh Town Hall

The event starts at 10am with Christmas stalls and the local shops open. Then in the afternoon they’ll be the funfair, story time, father Christmas and games. The actual Christmas Light Switch is at 6pm. Denbigh will have fire eaters to finish the evening. Sure to be a great day and evening.

 

Rhyl Christmas Light Switch

1st December

Rhyl

CORONATION Street star and X Factor winner Shayne Ward is set to bring festive magic to Rhyl. The town will shimmer and sparkle when Shayne turns on the town’s Christmas lights on Saturday 1st December. He will be joined by Rhyl Mayor Councillor Win Mullen-James to start the festive celebrations.

 

Ruthin Market & Christmas Light Switch

1st December 

Ruthin Town Square

Following last year saw a convoy of wagons and vans proceed through the town of Ruthin in conjunction with the Christmas light switch on. The event was welcomed and enjoyed by all who attended and this year will be no different with the market, lights and convoy all taking part to create a really Christmas-y feel in the market town.

 

Llangollen Christmas Festival

24th November (Parade starts at 13:00)

Llangollen Town Centre

The ever successful Llangollen Festival is back once again and filled to the brim with with activities and fun for the festive period. Including Santa’s Grotto, Christmas Parade, Live Bands, Great shopping and local food stalls and a fireworks display to celebrate the Christmas Lights switch on. Set within the stunning landscape of the Dee Valley this is the best place to be this Christmas.

Flintshire

 

Mold Christmas Lights Switch On

27th November (15:30 – 19:00)

Mold Town Centre

The Christmas lights will once again be turned on by Father Christmas at 6.00pm in the Daniel Owen Square. There will also be a fun fair on the High Street, with the local junior and High Schools invited to sing from 3.30pm on Earl Road along with Mold Town Band, Urban Fusion and other performers, as well as food & gift stalls from Llangollen & Dee Valley Good Grub Club and Clwydian Range Food & Drink.

 

Holywell Lights Switch On

30th November (12:00 – 19:15)

Holywell Town Centre

With star guests, “Britain’s Got Talent’s” Gruffydd Wyn Roberts & our own Richard and Adam. Come and experience fantastic music and performances whilst getting into the festive spirit.
Also appearing: Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Radio, Cambria Band, DJ Cookie, Stage Gems and The Elf Experience.

 

Flint Christmas Lights Switch On

22nd November (16:00)

Flint Town 

Join the town of Flint by the coast for a special evening of mulled wine and festive cheer whilst they turn on their Christmas lights and bring in the Christmas feeling around the town. With the fireworks kicking off at 5.50pm in the lead up up to the lights being switched on at 6pm.

      Hi Emma, we haven’t been told the actually time of the lights switch on. Just the start of the event, however we will look into it for you and comment when we find out.
