Children can spend the day in the wintery woods with us, giving parents a chance to get some shopping & wrapping done while the kids are away having fun. It’s one of the last weekends before Christmas and they’re going to need somewhere to release all that pent up excitement. So, they could join us for this special festive themed day of activities in the wintery woods of the Erddig estate, open to children aged 6-12 years.
There will be outdoor games, woodland crafts to take home and a blazing campfire with festive goodies for all, including hot chocolate and mince pies. We will also be singing a few seasonal songs around the fire. Places are limited, so book early to avoid missing out.
* Make a Christmas Wreath from willow and woodland greenery.
* Light your own campfire and cook tasty food on it.
* Make your own Santa Stick.
* Craft a bird feeder for your garden.
* Make a winter crown with greenery from the woods.
* Woodland games and lots of space to free play in the forest.
Get in touch if you’d like to know more. Advance booking is essential as this event filled up quickly last year. Phone James, 07876 794098 or email us at email@example.com
Tickets are £35 per child (aged 6 – 12) and £30 for each additional sibling.
Activities are based around our forest school camp circle, complete with shelter and use of the Trust’s buildings should we need it.
Parents don’t stay with their children during this event – but there’s plenty to see at Erddig if you want to make a day of it. Our Forest School activity days are all supervised by trained and experienced staff… that’s us. If your child has special needs that you feel would require a parent or guardian to stay with them for the day though, we would advise getting in touch with us in advance of making a booking and we’ll see what we can arrange. We like to be as inclusive as we can.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Erddig lies right on the doorstep of Wrexham town, easily accessible off the A483. The Felin Puleston Outdoor Centre at Erddig has proper toilets and parking. Activities will be based around this space and the surrounding Erddig estate, being outdoors as much as possible. We also have use of the main activity room should the winter weather turn against us.
