Make your next holiday a great one - Denbighshire
Make your next holiday a great one

The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley is the scenic gateway of North Wales, embracing some of the UK’s most wonderful landscapes and hidden gems.

It is an unmistakable chain of purple heather-clad summits, topped by Britain’s most dramatically situated hillforts. Beyond the windswept Horseshoe Pass, over Llantysilio Mountain, lies the glorious Dee Valley with the historic towns of Llangollen and Corwen.

It was the first new area of land in Wales to be awarded AONB status for 26 years. This means that it’s officially recognised as one of the nation’s most important landscapes. But the new Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB isn’t just about walls, hedges and heather moorland.

It’s about all the people who live and work here – the farmers, tourism operators and small businesses that help their communities to thrive.

So find exciting events and walks for you to complete in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty by clicking the button below and downloading the Out and About leaflet. With events ranging from nature days and walks for the any level and age you can be sure to find a great event for the whole family to enjoy and make sure you #GetOutdoors.
