Denbighshire Open Doors heritage event has always been a popular free event with some of the oldest and most beautiful private buildings in the county opening their doors to the public, some for the first time.
The event usually happens over the month of September, however this year as with everything else the organisers have had to do it a little differently. Last weekend should have been the Open doors in Denbigh but the organisers came up with the clever idea of virtual tours via the Facebook page with a mixture of Facebook live and pre-recorded tours. Join them next weekend for virtual tours around Ruthin featuring previously unseen properties. Heritage lovers can ask questions to the narrator during the live streaming or watch them another time.

On the 18th of September the group also launched an open doors photo marathon encouraging people to get involved by posting pictures on a ‘one door opens’ theme. To join in follow the group here and look out for future themes emerging.
