The Big Welsh Walk, supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, is back.

Starting from Chirk Castle in North East Wales, choose from one of five new routes.

As a signed up participant you’ll receive:

  • A free Big Welsh Walk t-shirt
  • A bespoke route guide
  • A goody bag

and your Big Welsh Walk medal when you complete the walk!

The routes* (more information coming soon)

  • 6 miles – Under Chirk Aqueduct (led and self-led). Easy route, some inclines, stiles on route
  • 6 miles – Offas Dyke Path and Llangollen Canal (led and self-led). Easy route, one stile at A5 crossing though possible alternative route to avoid this stile
  • 11 mile – Ceiriog Valley (led and self-led). Medium difficulty, stiles
  • 17 miles – Castell Dinas Bran (self-led). Hard, steep climbs, stiles
  • 20 miles – Panorama Rock Face (self-led). Hard, steep climbs, stiles
