North Wales Coastal Route – Prestatyn

This is the eastern half of the coastal promenade which stretches from Rhos-on-Sea in the west to Prestatyn in the east. Linking Prestatyn and Rhyl, this lovely, flat seaside route offers views across Liverpool Bay towards the clusters of offshore wind turbines and passes long sandy beaches.

At Rhyl you can detour inland along the River Clwyd, past Rhuddlan Castle to the new city of St.Asaph, where you can discover Britain’s smallest cathedral, or cut up to Dyserth and return to the coast on the Prestatyn to Dyserth Way Railway Path.
