2025 marks the Year of Croeso – in Wales.

Croeso 25 will launch in January 2025 and marks the next in a successful series of themed years led by Visit Wales. We in North East Wales intend to use this themed year to celebrate our Welsh welcome for visitors. It aims to share the unique Welsh experience and ‘hwyl’ (joy) with the world.

The Year of Croeso, or ‘welcome’, aims to celebrate the distinct and varied ways in which people from across the UK and the world can feel welcomed when they holiday in Wales.

The friendly welcome visitors get in Wales is a key reason for many choosing to return time and again, a testament to Wales’ culture and its people, and the primary influence for Visit Wales choosing the ‘Croeso’ theme for 2025.

It is a chance to celebrate North East Wales’s unique sense of place, from culture and language to our huge range of attractions, accommodation, events and activities.

The Year of Croeso highlights that  North East Wales is a place for everyone. We are committed to making sure all visitors experience that warm Welsh welcome and discover their ‘hwyl’ through their own unique adventures. We believe everyone should experience the magic of Wales.

If you or anyone you know would like to become an Wales Ambassador, learning more about the area and how to give the best welcome, you can learn all about our free course here.
