🎶🎸🎧🥁🎻At its heart, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod has always been about more than competition. Its founding aim was to promote peace and understanding by bringing ordinary people together through music.

That message remains as relevant today as it was almost 80 years ago.

In a world that can often feel divided, the Eisteddfod stands as a powerful reminder of culture’s ability to connect people across borders, languages and backgrounds. Performers arrive as strangers and leave as friends, united by shared experiences both on and off the stage.

🎶🎼🎹🎤🎸🎧🎻Yn ei galon, mae Eisteddfod Cerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen wastad wedi bod yn fwy na chystadleuaeth. Ei nod wrth gael ei sefydlu oedd hyrwyddo heddwch a dealltwriaeth drwy ddod â phobl gyffredin ynghyd trwy gerddoriaeth.

Mae’r neges honno yr un mor berthnasol heddiw ag yr oedd bron i 80 mlynedd yn ôl.

Mewn byd sy’n gallu ymddangos yn rhanedig yn aml, mae’r Eisteddfod yn ein hatgoffa’n bwerus o allu diwylliant i gysylltu pobl ar draws ffiniau, ieithoedd a chefndiroedd. Daw perfformwyr at ei gilydd fel dieithriaid ac ymadael fel ffrindiau, wedi’u huno gan brofiadau a rennir ar y llwyfan ac oddi arno.

Lle i anadlu, heb fod yn rhy bell

Os ydych chi yng Ngogledd Orllewin Lloegr neu’r Canolbarth, rydych chi’n nes at awyr agored, bryniau gwyrdd ac awel y môr nag y byddech chi’n ei feddwl. Mae Gogledd Ddwyrain Cymru drws nesaf dros y ffin, ond mae’n teimlo’n bell o ffwrdd o’r drefn arferol.

Syniadau ar gyfer penwythnosau a diwrnodau allan ar northeastwales.
