✨ Discover Denbigh: Open Doors Festival 19–21 September 2025

Every autumn, Denbigh bursts into life with a heritage celebration like no other — the Denbigh Open Doors Weekend. Hosted by Cadw, Denbigh and Denbighshire Councils and local heritage partners, the festival opens up more than 30 historic sites around town and nearby villages — and best of all, it’s completely free.

🗓️ What’s On?

Friday 19 September launches with a captivating self drive tour from 10-4pm in the vale exploring Churches, an ancient well, a pottery and having a food and drink stop.

Followed by an evening lecture at 7pm at Theatr Twm o’r Nant, focused on historical property deeds ‘ Deeds and their relevance today’.

Saturday 20 September

Medieval Denbigh– Explore Medieval Denbigh tours led by Fiona Gale starting at Denbigh Library at 11am and 2pm explore the mighty gatehouse and town walls, and soak in panoramic valley views  .

Mostyn Cottage external tour by Gwyneth Kensler 10am and 3pm.

Tour of St Marcella’s Church led by Gronwy Wynne 11.30 am , 1pm and 2.30 pm.

Sunday 21 September

Denbigh Green- Civil war Tour- led by volunteer guide Medwyn Williams at Theatr Twm o’r Nant 10.30am

Geology Tour led by Volunteer guide Peter Jones starting at Denbigh Library 11am

Mostyn Cottage external tour by Gwyneth Kensler

Closing Lecture Gwyn Roberts at Denbigh Library ‘Community Regeneration’ at 2.30pm
