WIld Bushcraft Company

The Forge / Wild Bushcraft Company

Are you looking for a glamping experience with a twist? The Forge in Corwen offers a unique outdoor holiday experience combining luxury camping with the opportunity to try your hand at bushcraft and survival skills. What could be more fun than learning how to light your own campfire (with no matches of course!) before cooking up your own open-air supper and toasting marshmallows before bed!

The concept behind The Forge is encouraging people to create their own adventures in the great outdoors whilst providing all the mod cons to make your stay as stress-free as possible. Guests can look forward to carpeted bell tents with real beds, crisp white cotton sheets, lots of cosy rugs and cushions plus a log burning stove to keep you warm and toasty at night. With four different spaces to choose from sleeping from 4-8 people, each tent has its own well-equipped camp kitchen with everything you could possibly need, from running water, gas hob, large cool box and lots of pots, pans, plates and cutlery. There are even real wine glasses and gorgeous local pottery. Every tent has its own fire circle and you are wholly encouraged to get involved with stoking up the campfire! There are private composting toilets and hot showers, plus a large indoor cabin space where you can relax and play games.

A unique feature of The Forge is the Iron Age hill fort, which all our guests are welcome to explore. This also makes the perfect backdrop for all our bushcraft courses, ranging from introductory half and full day sessions to our four-day knife making and bow and arrow making courses.

Dogs and children are very welcome. The whole site is also available to hire for larger groups – we are happy to host corporate organisations, birthday parties, weddings, stag and hen weekends.
