Snowy wonderland as North East Wales hits the big freeze

We think our piece of Wales is pretty wonderful any time of the year however with the dusting of snow and frost makes it even more magical. We wanted to share some of your wonderful images for everyone to see.

This wonderful shot of Dinas Bran above the freezing cloud in Llangollen was captured by Carl Edwards

And finally we couldn’t resist this brilliant photo by Rosie’s Triple D cider

As ever please be careful when you visit. Check the weather forecast – the Met Office is a good place to start.  Remember to check conditions for different points on your route, for example, if you are heading for the hills find out how cold and windy it will be at the top of your climb, and also what level the cloud base will be. Don’t underestimate the wind chill factor.

 North East Wales has activities for all abilities, but before you set off it is important to;

 be honest with yourself about you and your companions knowledge, fitness and ability, and
check the latest weather and ground conditions.

Take advice and only attempt an activity if the conditions are within you and your companions capabilities.
